Why Are You Asking What is My Budget?

Why Are You Asking What is My Budget?

Have you ever tried to Rent, Buy or Invest in a property, or called a real estate agent about a listing, and within minutes, they're asking you What is Your Budget?

If you haven't heard those words, then you have never tried to rent, buy or invest in a property. Or at least maybe not yet. Wait. It will soon happen. And you're going to feel like it's pushy for them to ask that. It's like a joke. Its like telling someone you want to buy, rent or invest in a property but it's none of their business if you can but won't be a joke anyone would want to laugh at because it's no joking matter. Which doesn't even depend on the personality of the person you're saying this to.

If the real estate agent isn't asking because its seems pushy or worried about not wanting to offend you, they should be asking because it's entirely important. It's not about how they ask the question but you have to expect the question.

Maybe you are expecting some build-up before such a question is asked. Looks like the person is asking a probing question but try to see it beyond that or it being about asking about your finances because it isn't any of that.

It is a necessary question, and an important piece of information for the real estate agent to know. And for your sake too.

So Why ask you such a question?
The Real Estate Agent is asking simply so as to know how much
you want to spend. (So as to not go over board). They need to know in order to see also if they can advice you, if possible, on properties to rent, buy or invest in.

Picture a real estate agent showing
you houses for days, weeks and months. Then you finally find "the one", You get all excited about the house, and you want to make an offer, only to find out then that there's no way you could afford the house. This leads to heartbreak and aggravation - for both of you. It doesn't do either of you any good to go through all of that only to find out you can't afford the houses you were looking at...at all.

The ones who ask make it easy for you to find what you're looking for because if they're asking that question, it's a Good One. And if you want to get some really GOOD
ATTENTION and SERVICE, don't even let them have to ask What Is Your Budget?
